Forest Fire Fighting 84′ to 96′ “Hotshots”
I was passionate about fighting wildfire! Unless you were there; smelling the different types of smoke, feeling the heat, tasting the adrenaline and hearing the rower of the flames, I don’t know if I could help you to understand. Every summer for 12 years I slammed tools into the earth, dug sharp chain into trees, used heavy boots to propel my body and a 35 pound backpack up never ending mountains. It was one of the best foundations for my documentary wedding photography. When I had a second of time, I pulled out a camera and froze the red hot flames in silver and put back the camera to start working again. I fought fire in more than half of the US and in Canada. I would not trade a day of it.
My memories are here for you to see. Enjoy!
